CAMFEB

Case overview

CAMFEB (Career Mothers For Exclusive Breastfeeding) is a non-profit organization in Kenya focused on empowering working mothers to practice exclusive breastfeeding without compromising their careers. With a strong advocacy presence and a growing network of partners, CAMFEB needed a modern, informative, and nurturing online platform to represent its cause and connect with stakeholders.

The Brief

CAMFEB approached us to design a website that would:

  • Serve as a central hub for advocacy, education, and partnership engagement.

  • Provide clear, accessible information about exclusive breastfeeding, workplace policies, and health benefits.

  • Highlight CAMFEB’s initiatives like the Lactation Station Program, community outreach, and professional training sessions.

  • Encourage sign-ups, donations, and collaboration from healthcare providers, employers, and government institutions.

  • Be mobile-friendly, engaging, and easy to manage internally.

Our Approach

To bring CAMFEB’s mission to life digitally, we focused on warmth, accessibility, and clarity:

  1. User-Centered Design – We chose a calm, maternal color palette with clean layouts and thoughtful iconography to reflect care and professionalism.

  2. Content Structuring – Designed distinct sections for Programs, News & Events, About CAMFEB, Resources, and Contact, making information easy to find and navigate.

  3. WordPress CMS Development – Built a flexible site using WordPress to allow the CAMFEB team to update programs, blogs, and media independently.

  4. Responsive & SEO-Friendly – Ensured the site was fully responsive across all devices, and integrated SEO best practices to boost visibility among relevant stakeholders.

The Results

The CAMFEB site has become a trusted digital anchor for the organization’s advocacy and education efforts. Since launch:

  • 👩‍💼 Engagement with working mothers doubled via contact forms and newsletter sign-ups.

  • 🧑‍⚕️ Partnership inquiries increased from corporates and healthcare institutions.
